Creter Concrete Products has a long history in the concrete and precast industry.
Five generations ago, in 1918,
we started as Creter Vault in Irvington, New Jersey with Philip Creter at the helm. He brought his skills as a stonecutter and concrete mason to work, providing headstones and outer burial containers (masonry enclosures) to support collapsing graves in local cemeteries.
Even as we’ve seen tremendous growth over the years, we have always been and will continue to be a family-owned operation.
In the years following 2010, we opened Flemington Concrete Products, allowing us to supply concrete to the area and increase our buying power. We were able to expand manufacturing, which lead to acquiring more land/space. With the additional land/space, we opened our doors to recycling.
We were instrumental in developing the technology and manufacturing process to produce an innovative new product – Concrete Lumber. Concrete Lumber is a patented pre-stress reinforced cementitious composite that is strong, chemical-free, and low-maintenance. It’s an affordable alternative to wood, steel, composites, LVL, and glulam. That’s not where our creativity stops! We’ve also developed state-of-the-art precast concrete railroad crossings that add stability and can be quickly and easily maintained.
