Also called AASHTO #8, pea gravel is used in the installation of front walkways and garden paths. It is also used as a surfacing material for a loose stone driveway or patio.

It’s a good choice to use in and around children’s play areas because they’re shock absorbent and recreationally safe.  

It’s an alternative to traditional organic mulch and can inhibit the growth of weeds in garden beds.  

One big plus to this type of pea gravel is that it’s heavy enough that it won’t blow away in high winds.

Pea gravel is uniform in size, smooth in texture and features a variety of beautiful colors.  

In fact, pea gravel is actually river rock – just a smaller and smoother version
